So, what’s the point? Congress has suddenly discovered that their control of the public purse, which they have been pretending not to value, is about to be supplanted by direct payments from the Treasury, untouched by Congressional hands. Why does that matter? Because if they have no goodies to hand out to their friends, what will secure their seat?
We should never forget that the GOP always accuse others of what they are doing themselves. They imitate. The reason it often goes unnoticed is because they do it badly.
